MESSAGE ON TEACHERS’ DAY

All of us have been students at some stage of our life and have benefited from our teachers. Celebration of Teachers’ Day is a wonderful opportunity especially for all of us to show our gratitude and appreciation to our teachers. Celebration of Teachers’ Day is fairly popular in many countries across the world and is even acknowledged by UNESCO.

In India 5th September is celebrated as Teaches’ Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was the well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a Teacher.

Teachers have an influencing role in the life of every student. They are like beacons of light, guiding us in the formative years of our life. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our life. However, very often, we fail to show our appreciation and gratitude for their altruistic devotion. Teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognized. To serve the purpose, Teachers’ Day is celebrated throughout the world, year after year. By celebrating National Teacher’s Day, we thank our teachers for providing us their invaluable guidance.

On this day, I would also like to recall the teachers who helped us in shaping our life. Thank You, Dear Teachers.

I wish you all contended, prosperous and successful careers ahead.
