NOTIFICATION
Whereas, as provided under clause (a) & (b) of Section-3 of the Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules,1991, the term of the existing Phura ‘N’ Village Council is due to expire on 30th June,2014 and 1(one) seat each of Village Council Members in N.Colony-I and Siahatla-II Village Councils are lying vacant due to the demise of Puhpa K.Nohro(L) VCM of N.Colony-I and Puhpa F.Ramthianghlima (L) VCM of Siahatla-II;And
Whereas, as provided under sub-rule(1) of Rule 5 of the said Rules, a mid- term and bye election has to be held for the purpose of constituting new Village Council.
Therefore, now, the Executive Committee of the Mara Autonomous District Council is pleased to call upon the constituency of Phura ‘N’ Village Council, N.Colony-I Village Council and Siahatla-II Village Council to elect members of Village Council in accordance with the Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules 1991.
Further, the Executive Committee of the Mara Autonomous District Council is pleased to appoint the following dates and times with respect to the said election.
1. Dt.16/7/2014( 9:00Am-12:00Pm) -Filing of nomination
2. Dt.16/7/2014(12:00Pm-2:00Pm) -Scrutiny of nomination paper.
3. Dt.16/7/2014(2:00Pm-3:00Pm) -withdrawal of candidature
4. Dt.16/7/2014(3:00Pm- on wards) -Publication of valid candidates &
allotment of symbols to all
candidates.
5. Dt.17/7/2014 (7:00Am-4Pm) -Polling hours
6. Dt.17/7/2014 ( 4:00Pm on wards)-Counting of votes followed by
declaration of results
